It's Late

I really should be in bed right now, but I just don't think I'll sleep, so why bother? :) I didn't sleep last night and ended up with a migraine this morning. I got up long enough to take some Excedrin, but then slept until 10:30, so really I've only been up for 13 hours. I've been meaning to get on here and write something, but I can't think of anything to write about. I was hoping if I just started that something would come to me, but it isn't...and it still isn't...still nothing... Well, I guess that's it then, it's late.

Kisses

One of the many things I love about Gary is that I hear him give Evan kisses all the time...putting him in bed, getting him out of his high chair, into or out of the car, the list goes on and on. Just a quick kiss on the head. He's done this from the day we brought Evan home and I hope it never changes!

I'm Back

So this afternoon I spent hours on a blog of a friend. I really enjoyed reading every word she had to say and every picture she had posted. It reminded me of why I created this blog in the first place. I wanted a place to just write my "randoms", so here I am and I'll be back soon.

Hugs

Does something have to be wrong in order to give someone a hug? I ask because the other day I asked Evan to give me a hug and his response was, Mommy, what's the matter? :) I told him nothing was the matter, so he just took off running... Funny boy!

The Elusive Schwan Man

When I was younger we used to get the orange pushup ice creams from the Schwan man. I loved those! Over the years, especially since living in town, I have wanted the Schwan man to stop by so I could get on their ordering route.

Well, last Wednesday I was VERY excited when the Schwan man's helper stopped by announcing that the Schwan man for our neighborhood was reaching out to the newer people in the hood and that he would be coming on Friday. I was so excited! I happily searched through the Schwan catalog and made a little list of things I wanted to get. They sell a little bit of everything. My list consisted of roasted sweet potatoes, broccoli and cheese mix, passion punch sherbet, chicken/rice with green bean medley, sweet and sour chicken dinner and of course some orange pushups.

Last Friday I stayed home all afternoon to make sure I didn't miss the elusive Schwan man, but to no avail...he never showed up! LAME!!! The guy from last week said the normal delivery day was Wednesday, so I again waited yesterday thinking he'd come, but he didn't! Man, is he missing out, because I'm willing to pay for the convenience of skipping the grocery store!

I could go online and place an order, but it's the principle of the thing. They said they were going to be back, and they weren't! I'm going to give him one more chance, because maybe he only come every other week, which means he'd come next week. After that I just don't know. :)

Create!

This is an adaptation of Elder Uchtdorf's talk from the last General Women's Conference. I love it!

He Loves Me. :)

Gary isn't a huge fan of Valentines Day, but, he also knows I'm a sentimental, romantic at heart, so he still sends me flowers. My favorite flowers to get are mixed bouquets, so he did VERY well this year. A mixed bouqet is also what he sent me the day after we were engaged. I especially love getting flowers at work because it makes me feel extra special. I know you all know what I mean... Plus, he wins major points with all the girls at work because he proves once again that he is a great guy! Which I, of course, have known for a long time!

More Boogers

Okay, I know this has been a topic before, but I have to tell Evan's latest...The other day Evan had been crying because I wouldn't give him his helicopter because he wouldn't ask nicely for it, which is another story... Anyway, his nose started running and he got a booger on his finger. He held it out to me as if he wanted me to do something with it. :) I said, I don't want it, you do something with it. He looked at me for a minute, a look of brilliance crossed his face and then he stuck his finger in his nose, as if to show me that he knew where boogers go. It was so hilarious! I don't want to encourage Evan sticking his finger in his nose, but sometimes you just can't help but laugh.

Crazy Kylie

I am at a retreat with my mom, sisters and Kylie. Today I was looking out the window and told Kylie, hey, there is the swimming pool right there, referring to the bay shown above. She said, how much would you bet me to get in that water. I told her $10 bucks. She said how about $20. I told her that Gary doesn't like me to bet money. :) She said I could think of something more creative. So, since Kylie just found out today that she has been accepted to BYU-Idaho, I told her I would bet her a care package every month for her first college year. I told her she had to go all the way under.

After awhile she came out with her swimming suit on, ready to get in the lake. I really didn't think she would take the bet. So, off to the lake we went. On the way there I decided she didn't need her to put her head under. Didn't want her to get an ear ache after all. She didn't take very long to get in and stayed in the water even shorter. Janie took the video above. As you can see, there is ice on the water. Crazy girl! So, I now need to think of 8 clever care packages! I don't mind though. It'll be fun to send those packages off to the college girl!
